Dr Penny Kehagioglou is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Dr Kehagioglou graduated from Wales University Medical School with Honours. She trained in General Medicine in UK and subsequently did her specialty training in Clinical Oncology in London, Scotland and Athens. She obtained her CCT in Clinical Oncology in 2010 and at the same time, her MSc in Public Health and Health Management from the University of London. Her first clinical oncology consultant post was in Scotland, where she specialised in colorectal, breast and gynaecological malignancies, with her specialist clinical interest being gynaecological brachytherapy.
She was also Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Dundee and Vice Chair of the North East of Scotland Medical Research Ethics Committee. Her current NHS post is in the Royal United Hospital in Bath, where she leads the service for brain malignancies and also specialises in gynaecological and urological cancers. Her special clinical interests are modern radiotherapy techniques (IMRT, IGRT), prostate brachytherapy and late effects of pelvic radiotherapy. She is also the Oncology Clinical Governance Lead in RUH, an Academic Mentor and Honorary Lecturer at Bristol University.
